LEELALU

About

Built for the parent awake at 3am.

A parent holding a crying baby in the dark deserves a calm answer with a named source, not forty open tabs and rising panic. LEELALU exists to be that answer.

The story

A small team, a narrow promise.

LEELALU started in 2026 with a small founding team and one observation: the internet gives new parents infinite information and almost no calm. Search at 3am and you get contradiction, fear, and comment sections. What a tired parent actually needs is shorter: what does the evidence say, who says it, and what do I do right now.

So we picked a narrow first product and decided to do it properly: pregnancy through the first year. Not ages zero to eighteen, not every topic under the sun. One stage of family life, covered carefully, with every claim tied to a named source.

We publish our evidence standards so anyone can check how a claim gets in and what gets it thrown out. Our evidence library holds 98 reviewed claims in the registry as of this build, tied to named sources such as NICHD, AAP, CDC and Nemours. When we do not have a sourced answer, we say so rather than improvise.

And we grow only after proof. New ages, new topics and new features arrive when the current ones have earned trust, not before. That order matters more to us than speed.

The family behind it

We're not a startup that discovered parenting. We're parents who started a company.

We're a family: a mom, a dad, and a little boy who just turned three. Somewhere between the first tooth and the first sentence, we decided the next million families shouldn't have to guess. LEELALU was born the same year our son turned three, and he's our employee zero: every feature ships only if it's good enough for him.

What we believe

Four commitments we build against.

Evidence over opinions

Every health claim in our library names its source organization. No "experts say" without a name, no thresholds invented by us. If we cannot source it, we do not say it.

Calm over fear

Fear gets clicks; it does not help a parent at 3am. We write to lower the pulse: what is normal, what to watch, and when to call your pediatrician. In an emergency in the US, call 911.

Privacy as a vow, not a setting

No ads, no selling data, no sharing with advertisers, ever. One email to hello@leelalu.com deletes everything within 7 days. This is a founding vow, not a toggle we may quietly flip later.

Honest about being early

We are pre-launch and we say so on every page. Checkout opened briefly in July 2026 and closed before anyone paid. LEELALU has never taken money from a family.

Where we are today

The honest status, in plain language.

Site, free tools and Learn library Live

You can read the Learn library and use the free tools today. No account needed, no cost.

App Designed preview

The app preview shows designed behavior, not a live account. Ask Lu in the preview works from preset chips only; answers cite a source or decline, and emergency topics route to "call your pediatrician / 911" before anything is generated.

Cohorts Not yet open

Access opens in small cohorts when our safety gates are green. Waitlist members hear from us first, in the order they joined.

Billing Closed

Billing is not open yet and no price is live. Nobody has ever been charged, and nobody will be until the product has earned it.
