Built in the open
Every trust claim on this page is an operational fact we can show you, not decorative language. Here is how LEELALU handles evidence, AI limits, privacy, security, human review, and money.
01 · Evidence
There are 387 reviewed claims in the registry as of this build. Each one names the organization behind it, links the exact source, and states the stage range it applies to. A claim that cannot meet that bar does not ship.
| Every claim record carries | What that means in practice |
|---|---|
| A named source organization | AAP, WHO, CDC, NHS, Nemours KidsHealth, NICHD and others. We never state a health number or threshold in LEELALU's own name. |
| The exact source link | A link to the specific document we relied on, not a homepage or a vague citation. |
| A stage range | The pregnancy weeks or baby months the guidance applies to, so it never shows up out of context. |
If we cannot source it, we do not say it.
02 · AI limits
Ask Lu answers by citing reviewed sources, asking a clarifying question, refusing, or escalating to human help. Lu never diagnoses, never doses medication, never guesses.
01
Answers come from the reviewed library, with the source organization visible at the moment guidance is shown.
02
If your question is ambiguous, Lu asks one short clarifying question instead of inventing an answer.
03
Outside the reviewed library, Lu says so plainly. A clear "I don't know" beats a confident invention.
04
For urgent signs, Lu points to human help: your clinician or your local emergency number.
One more thing sits in front of all of this. A deterministic emergency router with 707 patterns across English, Spanish and Russian runs before every message, and its full test suite blocks any change to the product that would weaken it. Typed questions to Lu are open today, and every factual answer either shows the source it came from or says plainly that we have none yet. Alongside them, Ask the Day answers only from your own family log, with no AI involved. When a pattern matches, no answer is generated: a fixed message points to human help, in English, Spanish or Russian, whichever language the family is reading. In an emergency in the US, call 911.
03 · Privacy
The waitlist asks for your email address and your consent, nothing else. With it we record the consent time, the policy version (waitlist-2026-08-v1) and which page you joined from. No due date, no stage, no child's name, no browser language.
| What we record | Why |
|---|---|
| To tell you when access opens. | |
| Consent time | Proof that you chose to hear from us. Nothing is pre-checked. |
| Policy version | The exact privacy terms you agreed to: waitlist-2026-08-v1. |
| Source page | Which page of this site you joined from. |
The waitlist form on this site never asks for your due date, your baby's birth date, your child's name, a health question, or your browser language.
Deletion is one email away. Write to hello@leelalu.com and we delete your waitlist data within 7 days.
04 · Security
Security here is process, not a badge. Three of these controls run today. The fourth is a launch gate we are building toward, and we label it as such.
All traffic is encrypted in transit. There is no unencrypted version of LEELALU.
Strict security headers block framing and content-type sniffing, and the strict Content-Security-Policy is enforced on every page of the new site. Not a plan: enforced today.
Automated secret scanning runs on every change and across the full history to keep keys and credentials out of the codebase.
A merge-blocking automated safety suite, including red-flag parity tests, is a launch gate we are building toward. Before any live Ask Lu opens, it must be green on every change. Our working rule is simple: red does not merge.
05 · Human review
Today, content on this site carries one honest label: Reviewed by the LEELALU team (editorial review).
The LEELALU team checks each claim against its named source organization and records the exact link. Scheduled re-checks with recorded review dates are part of the launch gates we are building toward.
It is not clinical or medical review, and we never claim it is. No doctor's name, photo, or credentials appear anywhere on this site.
An external clinical spot-check of our emergency corpus is a launch gate before any paid release, and a standing named clinical reviewer joins as we grow. We have not passed that gate yet, and we say so instead of pretending.
When we get something wrong, we correct it in the open. Corrections and our editorial rules live at leelalu.com/editorial-standards.html.
06 · Commerce
Pricing is published before billing exists. Billing is not live yet. It opens with the founding cohort only after our safety gates are green.
| Moment | What happens |
|---|---|
| Today | Pricing is published on the pricing page. No one can pay yet, and no one is charged. |
| When billing opens | Founding families get first access, in small batches, after the safety gates are green. |
| While your plan is active | Full access for the whole family, no ads, no data sale. |
| If you cancel | Access continues through your paid date. Nothing switches off early, and nothing guilt-trips you on the way out. |
| After your paid-through date | A 30-day export-only period: renew, export everything, delete everything, or write to support. New writes, sync, and AI pause immediately, and after 30 days the household locks until you renew. |
Your memories are never held hostage. Deletion works from inside the app today, with fourteen days to change your mind. Export works from inside the app: it is assembled with your own visibility and handed straight to your device, and nothing is stored on our side. If anything about it fails you, write to hello@leelalu.com.
